Tell me, what looks "awesome" about Dust because to me it just looks like another generic shooter that only a couple hundred people will be playing in 3 months time.
Dust can't really have any significance in eve because if it fails, it could break eve.

Can you read the minds of those millions of people? If that's the case you should go into marketing and become rich.. some companies out there would really like to have such information.
It happens all the time. The majority of modern console games, although fun, lack depth in gameplay and as such, games get old fast.
The console market has been designed this way on purpose. The console manufacturers want you to buy as many new games as possible and the developers only want you to play their game until the sequel comes out.
I used to be a hardcore gamer and i was exited by Dust when I first heard about it but once i realised it was yet another FPS in a market flooded with generic FPS's, i lost hope... Oh it connects to EVE online? that's a good bullet point to put on the back of the box i guess.
I've only been playing eve for a year and i find the game to be full of half finished ideas and broken mechanics... who will ccp make console to PC work when they can't even be bothered to refine what they already have?
... sorry i'm rambling now

It WON'T be a bullet point it will be a significant selling point spun to make it seem like the connection, whatever it actually will be, is much more integral/important than it is. That is how games are marketed, ie "you control the fate of the galaxy" but only if you want to play the good guy if you want to play the bad guy the 'world' turns on you and you get killed.
Exactly. They spin it to make it sound like it's going to be amazing and they will release trailers (like the eve future trailer) that basically lies about what the game is and how it is played. They might be able to trick a few million people into buying games but in 1 weekes time those people have traded the game in and told all their friends not to buy it.
It will be especially tough for dust being an online game because if multiplayer doesn't work perfectly on release, the game will fail.

What does this tell you about PI and has already been stated by countless others before you?
That PI sucks and there is no need to fight for planets unless CCP plan to nerf PI, particularly in WH space?
